Is love marriage difficult in India?

This is a pretty interesting question

Love: An Amazing Emotion the Excites & Terrifies People

When it comes to relationships – Love can thrive

When it comes to marriage – Love goes out of the window

Reasons(General):

  • Individual’s background and social standing
  • Thought process
  • Financial well being
  • Educational Background and Growth prospects (among other things)

Having second thoughts when the question is popped?

In case of India, there is another layer of icing to the reasons stated above:

  1. Religion
  2. Caste
  3. Region and Language
  4. Food Habits
  5. Ancestry (this may seem laughable but have experienced it)
  6. “Stability” in Career (this is another ridiculous clause)
  7. Salaried – Business
  8. Moveable – Immovable assets

The list is not exhaustive but you get the idea why in India things get more curled than a ‘Jalebi’

Giving meaning to the complexity linked to getting married in India

PS: Image of Jalebi shared for reference incase you are not aware what it is 🙂

So, at the end the summary is simple in the case of India & love marriage

  • Falling in love is easy
  • Translating into a relationship is not easy
  • Converting the relationship into marriage is absolutely not easy

If someone can pull a rabbit out of their hat and convince everyone (including families) and keep them happy – you deserve a 21 Gun Salute!!

Respect for someone managing the marriage & being happy

Hope this helps

God bless!
